Abstrak:In teaching and learning activity in vocational school actually in grade X, many model of teaching-learning activity are used by teacher to teach effectively and effisiently. Most of them usea practical one. It means that the students get the point of lesson by doing themselves. So if they want to know how the fire engine works, they should watch and feel the machine or if the student wants to know about speed of the turbo machine, so he or she should run the machine and count it by himor herself. This way is more effective than theoretical one when they analize the problemand solve it in their imaginary world. They will think abstract. English is one of adaptive studies in vocational school and abstract. The student cannot touch and count like a machine and computer. It makes some teachers ask the students to use their critical thinking in the imaginary world. On the contrary, English is one of studies that included in National Examination in vocational School. So it is very important. In fact, we still meet most students face a difficulty to learn and understand English because they do not learn doing practically. If the students are strenuous to understand English, the student?s achievement will be decreased. To solve it, the studentmotivation must be stimulate by a new activity model. In this paper, I will discuss about using a new gadget of technology to learn English in sub topic: Showing direction. We can see in the the student competence states that students are able to show direction literally and orally to another. This paper will describe about what do the students use to show direction literally and orally in English, How they can understand and show direction literally and orally in English. The last, How this modelcan increase the student motivation to learn English more. The goal of this paper is to describe what they use to show direction literally and orally in English, The second is that how the student understand it and show direction literally and orally,and the last is to show how this model will increase the student?s motivation tolearning English more. Keyword: teaching-learning model, student?s motivation, technology.
