The Effectiveness of Teaching Passive Voice Using EGRA Method To Increase Grammar Mastery of Second Year Students of SMA Muhammadiyah Tambak in The Academic Year 2011/2012. rammar is the language components that form the construction of the sentences. The other hand grammar is one of the English difficult subject in the senior high school in Indonesia. One of them is passive voice. And there are many tenses to be taught A is a method to teach structure communicatively. it is built ic motivation by allowing the ules rather that being told them. Therefore, the The research was carried at SMA Muhammadiyah Tambak from May 16th to n the mean score of pre-test (51.766 > 70.833) it can be categorized as good. According to the res will make students get a new experience in teaching-learning process and it can be used to stimulate students? motivation G in SMA. EGR more intrins students to discover r researcher aims to find out whether EGRA method is effective or not in increasing the students? grammar mastery of passive voice. May 23th 2012. The number of population is 30 students. The sample was the second grade students consist of 30 students. The technique sampling of this thesis is saturated sampling. It is quantitative research and used t-test for the technique of data analysis. Based on the data analysis, it is found that the t-value is 4.590 while the ttable is 1,699. It means that t-value higher than the critical value on the t-table (4.590 > 1.699). the mean score of the post-test is higher tha ult of computation of the research there is a difference between the mastery of passive voice of students before taught by using EGRA method and after taught by using EGRA method. At least, using EGRA method can be an alternative way to teach the language learners, especially to increase the students? grammar mastery. It to learn English.
