Address systems are the words people used to designate the person they are talking to while they are talking to them. It?s used depends on the relationship between addresser-addressee and the relative status individual involved in Javanese and English Address Systems. The data sources the English Address System come from short story of Hello Magazine ?Final Evidence?. The data sources of the Javanese Address System come from manuscript of PanjebarSemangat ?WahyuMustikaAji?. In collecting the data, the researcher uses the observation descriptive qualitative research method, which involves reading, signing, and making checklist. The main objectives of this research are to find the form of Javanese and English Address System and to describe and compare the elements of politeness strategy of the use of Javanese and English Address Systems. In clarifying the elements of politeness strategy, the researcher used the hierarchical and solidarity politeness strategies. After analyzing the data, there are some results found. There is no particular word to point her/himself (addresser) of address system in English ?I? used the speech level while in Javanese address system is characterized by the use of speech level, such as kramainggil ?the most refined?, kramamadya ?refined?, ngoko ?low? levels. In English Address System, the first name always shows the intimacy address system. The most of the elements of politeness strategy in Javanese and English Address Systems construct the hierarchical politeness strategy. In addition, the elements of politeness strategy of both Javanese and English Address System are determined by the speaker?s social rank, such as occupation (captain, soldier, etc), family (mom, dad, etc) and nobility (your majesty, prince, etc).
